I’ve made a bit of a change with the blog format. You’ve probably noticed. Don’t panic! I don’t know if I’ll stick with the format so you might have to bear with me as I faff around a bit more. This is all because I am toying with the setting up a website idea AGAIN - another of my interminable circle habits. It all works so well in my head - mind you, a lot of ideas work well in my head - but it’s the putting it into practise bit that scuppers me sometimes. Not all the time. But sometimes.
However, I’ve taken sage advice from a fellow blogging chum who says there are website providers out there who will provide you with a ‘test site’ to play around with so you don’t mess up the content you’ve already amassed on your ‘proper’ site, and by ‘mess up’ I mean innocently press a button and lose the whole kit and caboodle, which will rocket my blood pressure/ patience/ gentle temper (!) and send me back to quill and parchment quicker than you can say, ‘We managed perfectly well without online technology in the ‘70s, thank you VERY much. All we needed for entertainment was a Slinky.’
I think it is all part of my journey forward into a different pattern of life. Of course, a website will require a broader content than just me rocking up a few times a week and rabbiting on about whatever grabs my attention in a spur-of-the-moment kind of way. It will require a purpose, a format, an identity. And when I start thinking along these lines half of me, the Bold Braveheart side, is all excited and full of amazing ideas, whilst the other half of me, the Hibernating Hermit side, just wants to curl up on the sofa under a blanket with a good book and pretend the world doesn’t exist. Talking of good books, I’ve just read Pat Barker’s ‘The Silence of the Girls’ in one sitting. It’s quite stomach churning in places, but riveting. Pat Barker is a Bold Braveheart writer.
I’ll leave you with a photo of the wolf moon from last night. Taken with my iPad, so dubious of quality. It was a good sight, though...and again, made me feel so lucky to be living in the middle of fields.

Yes, Vera - I’ve made a start. What’s that saying? ‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.’ And I think a thousand miles might be erring on the conservative side!
